8 Types of Friends

Whether it may be from real life experiences of the people that enter and exit our lives, or from the results of a personality trait we just took, without realizing, we often classify people into different categories.

Each individual are unique in their own manner, but there are always traits that we see in some people, that makes us associate them to a certain type of category/ group.

Here are just 8 different types of friends that you might've encountered:

1. The Study Buddy

You know that one friend whom you panic together with before a test? or the one you skype call with until past midnight to review about your subjects? Or perhaps the person who teaches you or helps you out with your homework?

These people are so called your "study buddy". You do almost all schoolwork together, and you help each other understand the topic on the subject. Your study buddy can change for different subjects, and that has nothing to do with loyalty. It's completely fine, because who knows, your study buddy for biology, let's say, doesn't take chem . How in the world do you expect him/ her to help you out with the subject?

2. The Freeloader - ish

These people aren’t necessarily bad friends. They might even be your bff! They could've demonstrated a fierce loyalty towards you most of the time and could've been there for you too. it's just that sometimes, it's as if you're the only one giving.

I'm pretty sure we all have encountered that one friend who always takes your food or rides your car for a lift. Maybe even borrow our stationary and never returns them. In some occasions, even borrow our money! Once these friends borrow something, usually you won't really get to see it again soon.

I wouldn't say that you should entirely cut ties with these types of friends, but just be slightly more aware. Coz like c'mon, we gotta admit , we too do these things sometimes...

3. The Ranting Space

This person is someone whom you feel comfortable spilling your thoughts too. You can tell him/her anything and your secret will stay between the two of you. They give the best advices and are very good listeners.

When you tell them about your problem, they don't right away jump into conclusions. Rather, they stay quiet until you are done explaining , try to analyze and understand the different points of view before actually giving a proper advice.

They are very thoughtful people, and they really do weigh the consequences of each action. We all need a friend like this. If you haven't got one, find one A.S.A.P.

4. The kpop obsessed

It's self explanatory. These friends are literally obsessed with the korean entertainment industry. They know all about the latest debut of their favorite boyband/girlgroup, as well as the latest-booming kdrama.  They are so caught up with kpop, they start speaking in korean and even dress similarly to match the style of a kpop idol.

They can watch a 24 episode drama and finish it within 3 days!! The constant exposure to the language also lets them watch music videos, variety shows and even the dramas itself without subtitles sometimes and still get a full understanding of what it is all about. They literally fangirl /fanboy whenever they see their idol on screen and would really get affected if something happens to their favorite artist.

5. The Emotional Bubble

A therapy session you say? That's exactly how it will feel like dealing with these friends. It's a bit hard to actually get to know what they really feel...

One moment they will be depressed and salty, and the next moment they will be laughing their hearts out as if nothing could make life be depressing. it's sometimes very hard to understand these type of people. It could be that they are hiding their emotions, or they just get over things too quickly....we never quite know.

Usually, when we ask them what is the matter, there can be 2 outcomes. One of which, they will say they are fine and that it's not important ( which obviously we know it isn't), and the other, the will give in and start filling you in about their problem (prepare ur ears and heart to be patient and understanding).

These friends wear their hearts on their sleeves. When dealing with these types of individuals, be more understanding and patient as their hearts are very fragile. The words you say can cause such a great impact to them.

6. The clown

This friend brings life and laughter. Whenever they are around, people will erupt in laughter and become lively. When they missing in action, however, it turns very quiet. They are very witty and are always up-to-date on all the latest memes and punchline jokes. They create great puns, followed by appropriate gifs.

They crack jokes almost anytime, anywhere. They are full of positive energy and are very fun to be around. They can't really stand being in a quiet and awkward situation or place. Hence, they are always trying to lighten up the atmosphere with their jokes.

Their jokes however may not always be appreciated by everyone, and they sometimes can get into trouble for either being too noisy, or taking the jokes a little bit too far. this is another reason why people don't quite take them seriously, because all they do is joke around.

7. The multi-talented / popular dude

These people, as they are called, are literally multi-talented. They can do almost anything. They are athletic, they have the brains, they can play music, and if they're extra lucky....they get the looks too. They are always surrounded by people and have a bunch of friends. They are cool individuals to hangout with as they seems to always have a fun time. The things they do are lit and you can't help wishing to be like them, or at least be someone in their inner circle.

8. The BFF

They are the ones who are always there for you no matter what. They won't judge you in any way and will support you all the time. Both family and friends can be included in this category...

These people have cleaned up your mess before, they have given you great advice on life, take you out on lunch dates just to make you feel better, as well as do crazy things together. They cannot stand looking at you feeling down and will do almost anything to get your spirit back up.

They are your "shoulder to lean on", and you can certainly rely on them to cheer you up when you are facing a difficult situation.
